Emre Şentürk
Founder
Emre Şentürk founded the online blog, Essydo Magazine, in 2020, which he turned into Essydo in 2024 – the think tank that we are today. He has more than 10 years of experience in political analysis and is vested with a graduate degree from Leiden University in Public Administration, which ranks among the world’s top 20 universities in the political sciences.
He is the author of “Devlet”, which establishes Essydo’s core normative and scientific framework. Next to this achievement, he developed several scientific innovations in the field of politics. Currently, Emre Şentürk also holds a leadership position in a German finance company as the Chief Operating Officer, where he was recently also awarded the “COO of the Year 2025 (Europe): Fintech & Growth” award.
René Lapuse
Political Data Analyst
René Lapuse is a Political Data Analyst at Essydo. He combines experience from a leadership position in international logistics with academic training in political science and sociology. His studies focus on qualitative dimensions such as social environments, history and psychology. At the same time, his background in logistics highlighted his ability to work in dynamic and fast-paced environments requiring adaptability and continuous progress.
Dr. Attila Gökhun Dayıoğlu
Senior Political Analyst
Attila Gökhun Dayıoğlu completed his primary and secondary education in İstanbul, graduating in 2015 with a degree in Political Science from F.M.V. Işık University. He completed his master’s degree in Political Science at Wroclaw University in 2017, subsequently earning his PhD from the same university in 2022 in Political Science and Public Administration – Central and Eastern Europe.
Throughout his doctoral studies, Dr Dayıoğlu served as a Research Assistant at Wroclaw University, where he also delivered lectures. In 2019, he held an internship position at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Warsaw, within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Dr. Dayıoğlu’s principal research areas encompass Eastern and Central Europe (Visegrad 4) States, the Radical Right, Political Parties, Democratisation Movements in Post-Communist Visegrad States and Hungarian and Turkish Turanism. His academic publications include a book on the Radical Right in Hungary, book chapters, national and international articles and national and international conference papers.
Polat Öziş
Social Media Manager
Polat Öziş began his career in 2015, writing film critiques for various platforms. He subsequently transitioned from film criticism to the advertising sector, contributing to advertising campaigns for major brands and managing their social media accounts. Following his agency experience, he moved ‘brand-side’ to broaden his expertise.
He currently holds a management position within the corporate sector while also providing consultancy services to brands in social media, communications and marketing. At Essydo, he manages our social media content and user engagement, delivering added value to our followers.
